Learning Outcomes

Our students will become effective business decision-makers. By the time students complete our undergraduate program, they should be able to:

  1. Demonstrate knowledge of the functional areas of business, their interdependencies, and their application to organizations competing in a global marketplace.
  2. Identify business opportunities and relate them to an organization's core competencies in constructing a business plan for entrepreneurial efforts.
  3. Demonstrate knowledge and a professional orientation in their discipline or selected areas of study.
  4. Demonstrate competence in decision making utilizing written and oral communication, technology, effective teamwork, and leadership.
  5. Demonstrate problem solving ability that employs logical processes (data collection, analysis, and utilization) leading to alternatives for implementation.
  6. Demonstrate the ability to develop organizational strategy taking into account environmental factors such as ethical, societal, regulatory, and technological.
  7. Display an awareness of contemporary society and a foundation in the liberal arts.
